After Vienna, Graz and St. Pölten, Wiener Neustadt was the scene of the event this time. There, at the fourth edition of the Austrian Padel Union Championships from March 24th to 26th, 2023, the title in the mixed, women's and men's competitions was fought for.

The mixed competition kicked things off in the tried and tested manner. The favorite duo Michael Brus and Barbara Prenner prevailed confidently. They did not give up more than three games in any of the eight sets played. Paul Kveder and Lisa-Marie Peleska as well as Georg Hubich and Ingrid Resch took second and third place.

Krenn and Alten are missing

In the women's category, the two top-seeded pairings Barbara Prenner/Anna Schmid and Elisabeth Bauch/Christine Seehofer delivered a gripping final. In a high-class women's match, the defending champions Elisabeth and Christine took an early lead in both the first and second sets. Ultimately, however, Barbara Prenner and Anna Schmid secured victory. Third place went to Magdalena Österle and Stefanie Wilfling.

In the absence of Christoph Krenn and David Alten, who were each able to claim the championship title for themselves in the last three years, the top seeded pairing Michael Brus and Markus Krocker prevailed in the men's final against Markus Hawelka and Philipp Schneider. Third place went to Simon David and Michael Raumauf. The Krenn/Alten team played at the same time this weekend on the German Padel Tour in Düsseldorf and made it to the final there.
