It was news that Roger Federer's supporters had been waiting for a long time: At the beginning of February, the 20-time Grand Slam winner announced that he would make his comeback on the tour at the ATP 250 event in Doha, which began on March 8 want to celebrate. Federer has now decided to add another event to his calendar. The 39-year-old will also compete in the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai. The event starts on March 14th, immediately following the one in Doha.

Federer gets competition from Thiem

Federer has already won eight times in the largest city in the United Arab Emirates. In his last appearance to date in 2019, the world number five also won the title after winning the final over Stefanos Tsitsipas.

The long-standing tennis leader in Dubai will not have any competition from the Greeks this year, but the field of participants is still more than impressive: including Federer, there are currently eleven top 20 players in the entry list, including Dominic Thiem and Andrey Rublev .
