"100% recovered" wrote Simona Halep on Monday morning on Twitter.

The 29-year-old announced that she was suffering from the coronavirus at the end of October and that mild symptoms were noticeable, she said. Halep seems to have overcome this. And shows himself ready to go back to the tennis court.

When her coach Darren Cahill asked if you could start preparing, she replied with various smiley faces: "For the first time in my life, I'm looking forward to it."

Halep will therefore return to the tour in 2021, this season only the tournament that is running this week in Linz will take place at WTA level.

Halep had last played at the French Open and lost there in the round of 16 against the eventual winner Iga Swiatek . Before, after returning from the Corona lockdown on the tour, she had won the tournaments in Prague and Rome. Halep had decided not to travel to the USA for the US Open.
