Grabher is number 20 in the race for the starting places at the last major of the year, but has immediately drawn a rather unpleasant lot with Viktoria Kuzmova from Slovakia. Kuzmova is currently 187th in the WTA world rankings, Grabher is number 122. In round two, the winner of the game between Germany's Nastasja Schunk and Robin Anderson from the USA would be waiting.

Making her debut in a major qualifying competition is Sinja Kraus, who will open against Maria Carle from Argentina. Should the 20-year-old Austrian win, it would either be against Isabella Shinikova from Bulgaria or Spain's Cristina Bucsa.

Finally, Barbara Haas, Austria's number one for many years, was drawn to Lesley Pattinama Kerkhove. In round two, Haas could face Sara Errani from Italy.
