Anna-Lena Friedsam was unlucky in the draw for the qualifying competition at the US Open 2022. Friedsam has to face the number one, Ana Bogdan from Romania. Tamara Korpatsch meets Lina Glushko from Israel at the start. Nastasja Schunk has good chances against Robin Anderson from the USA. The German left-hander showed up in Roland Garros against Simona Halep and was only just beaten in three sets by the two-time major winner.
Katharina Gerlach, who opens against Chloe Paquet from France, who is twelfth, should be more demanding. Eva Lys, on the other hand, has good chances against the Hungarian Tena Lukas.
