Vatican State becomes a member of the Padel World Federation
The Vatican Sports Federation Athletica Vaticana is the newest member of the Padel World Federation FIP. The mini-state continues its efforts to gain a foothold on the international sporting arena.

According to its own statement, the sports association of the Papal States is pursuing the goal of “promoting the practice of padel sport as a community experience” with its incorporation into the world association. The decision to go ahead with the development resulted from the great popularity of the sport in the Vatican.
Since its inception in 2019, Athletica Vaticana has strived to establish the state in world sport. The sports association is already an official member of the International Cycling Union (UCI) and the International Taekwondo Federation (World Taekwondo). In addition, admission to the World Athletics Association (World Athletics) is imminent.
Padel or padel tennis is a racquet game played on a comparatively small field and with rinks. The sport is enjoying enormously growing popularity, especially in southern Europe.
