Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic may only have entered the 2022 Wimbledon tournament in second place (behind Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury), but after the performances of the past few weeks, the Croatian defending champions must be the absolute favorites to win this year be traded in doubles. Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies felt the same on Tuesday. The two Germans didn't play badly at all, but Mektic/Pavic won the points in the decisive moments. Mektic and Pavic will face Juan Sebastian Cabal and Jon Farrah in the semifinals. The two Colombians benefited from the abandonment of pair Jack Sock and Denis Kudla in the fourth set.
