ATP Challenger Bratislava: Dennis Novak wins the title smoothly

Dennis Novak celebrated his second tournament win on the ATP Challenger Tour in Bratislava.

The 26-year-old Viennese defeated the Bosnian Damir Dzumhur in the final with 6: 1 and 6: 1 and secured 15,270 euros in prize money and 110 points for the world ranking. This will make Novak 18 places and rank 108 on Monday, just four places behind his best ranking.

Novak was unleashed in Bratislava and defeated exclusively set opponents on his way to the tournament victory with Alexei Popyrin (6), Norbert Gombos (11), Stefano Travaglia (3), Egor Gerasimov (9) and now Dzumhur (5).

After the tournament victory in Taipei in April , Novak thus succeeded the second victory at the Challenger level.

In the summer he had lost even after losing the match in Ilkley against Dominik Koepfer and thus missed the first jump into the top 100. In a good starting position for a new attempt, he has now brought with the triumph in Bratislava.
