For Rublev it is already the fourth title in 2020 - after Doha, Adelaide and Hamburg. This puts him on a par with Novak Djokovic (who won higher quality events with the Australian Open, Cincinnati, Rome and Dubai).
Rublev is also top in terms of match wins this year: At 34, he is second here after Djokovic (37). Behind him is Stefanos Tsitsipas with 27 wins.
For Rublev, who will turn 23 on Tuesday, it will also move up in the ATP ranking, from Monday he will be the new number 8 in the world rankings. He has thus increased his chances for one of the last two free places at the ATP Finals in London.
Djere wins in Sardinia
Laslo Djere had already won the 250 tournament in Sardinia by noon. He defeated Marco Cecchinato 7: 6 (3), 7: 5 in the final and celebrated the second ATP title of his career.
In the afternoon in Cologne, Alexander Zverev won the bett1HULKS.
