Oscar Otte fit for New York after knee surgery

Oscar Otte (ATP No. 41) is fit for the US Open. After Alexander Zverev's cancellation due to injury, the 29-year-old from Cologne will be the best German player in the last Grand Slam tournament of the year from August 29 in New York.

Otte underwent medial meniscus arthroscopy in July after his third-round loss at Wimbledon.

"Rehab successfully completed, ready for New York," wrote Otte on Instagram. Last year, the world number 41. made it into the round of 16 at the last major of the year, achieving his best result so far at one of the four most important tournaments.

In addition to Otte, Daniel Altmaier (Kempen) and Peter Gojowczyk (Munich) are in the main draw this year.
