Errani was suspended in 2017 because of the Tortellini affair , since February this year the little Italian is eligible to play again. But the former number 5 of the tennis world could not really build on old achievements. /

Much more, Errani was struck by massive service problems, she had captured some time ago the "Yips" , which strengthened after their comeback. Errani produced double faults en masse, the ball toss did not work any more - and when, her services often landed in front of the net or at the baseline. Errani drew the consequences - she served 35 times from below in a performance in Bogoto and won!

"Then maybe I'll come up with something else"

After a finals at the ITF tournament in Rome in the summer ran little together at the 32 -year-old, but last week she played strong and reached the ITF event in Asuncion the final. A success that brought her back to # 200 this week.

But more importantly: Errani seemed to have spent a happy week - without criticism, with which she had to live in Italy for months. And so she spoke on Monday via Twitter to speak.

"Hello guys, I want to share a thought with you ... I just finished a tournament in Asuncion, Paraguay, where I lost in the final yesterday, it was a really nice week in terms of human nature and also tennis. As you know, since I started playing again in February of this year, I have had big problems with the serve, which I do not want to deny, as I had planned in advance to serve the whole tournament mainly from below.

Looking back, I noticed that during the entire week I did not even receive one (!) criticism or complaint about my serve from a person present here. Throughout the week I have received encouraging and praising words for my resilience and desire to find a solution to these difficult situations. Even in social media, where it might be easier to criticize or judge, there was not even a Paraguayan who "attacked" me. There were only positive messages.

In Italy, however, I always get insults from all sides. I think I've been too worried about your comments and opinions over the years. Now I do not want to do that anymore.

If I am unable to serve from above, it may be that I do it from below. If I fail from below, maybe I'll think of something else. If you are feeling unwell, you can always send a letter to the WTA to request a rule change. Or you ask me directly to be excluded from the tour because of the insufficient impact.

If you have other problems or special requests, send a letter to Santa Claus.

Ciao, ciao "

Errani reached the final of the French Open in 2012, where she was defeated by Maria Sharapova. In 2013 she reached the semifinals. Overall, Errani won ten titles in singles and 27 in doubles - including five Grand Slam titles with Roberta Vinci.
