Carreno Busta succeeded the Italian Gianluca Mager, who won the trophy at the Challenger event in the same place last week.
Both times Jaume Munar was the loser. The 23-year-old Mallorcan had to admit defeat to the top seeded Carreno Busta 6: 1, 2: 6 and 6: 4 after almost two and a half hours of play.
"I started focused and played aggressively," said Carreno Busta. “After that my balls got a little less accurate and Jaume got into the match better. However, I fought to the end. This was also necessary to be able to win such a close match. ”The winner received 40,000 euros in prize money and 250 ATP ranking points as a reward.
