World rankings: 311 at number 1 - Novak Djokovic now the sole record holder

It was no longer a surprise, it has been clear since last year - but now official: Novak Djokovic is the new record holder in terms of world number one from today. The Djoker now has 311 weeks at the top, replacing the previous leader Roger Federer (310 weeks). Federer himself had only ousted Pete Sampras (286 weeks) from the top at the end of 2012. 2018. Djokovic had given the world rankings record as a clear goal - as one of two . Next, the 33-year-old now wants to hold the most Grand Slam titles, here he is just behind Federer and Nadal (20 each) with 18.
