Angelique Kerber profited in the quarterfinals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati from a task of her opponent Petra Kvitova (stomach problems). In the semifinals, the German will face world number one Ashleigh Barty on Saturday.

Angelique Kerber is in the semifinals of the Cincinnati WTA 1000 tournament. In the round of the last eight, the German benefited from a task by the Czech Petra Kvitova. The two-time Grand Slam winner struggled with stomach problems.
In the semifinals, Kerber now meets Ashleigh Barty. The Australian prevailed against Barbora Krejcikova in their quarter-finals .
