The top seeded Otte beat Jack Draper from England 7: 6 (3), 6: 4 on Saturday afternoon and is thus in the final of the Challenger 80 tournament, which is endowed with 44,820 euros. He meets Maxime Cressy from France on Sunday (from 11 a.m., here in the livestream ). Cressy is number 2 in the tournament.

Otte had taken compatriot Matthias Bachinger out of the tournament in the second round and had not yet given a set. /

For the man from Cologne, his most successful year continues: Otte had reached the second round from qualifying at the US Open and injured himself there , after his comeback he continued where he had left off: he reached the Challenger tournament in Villena straight to the semifinals, in Ismaning he recently won the title .

Thanks to his entry into the final in Ortisei (St. Ulrich), Otte played himself in the live ranking in 117th place and is thus on course for a direct qualification for the Australian Open 2022.

Altmaier is also currently higher than ever in the ATP ranking, if he reached the finals he would crack the top 100 for the first time on Monday and see the direct qualification for Melbourne also within reach.
