In Tunis, the third joint title of the season for Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler was not very close

It was that close, but in the end Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler lost their third joint final of the season. The two, seeded number one themselves, failed in the match for the title at the ATP Challenger tournament in Tunis by a hair's breadth due to the Colombian-Mexican pairing Nicolas Barrientos/Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela 7: 6 (3), 3: 6, 9:11 in the match tiebreak.

The Austrians did not drop a set until the semi-finals, in the semi-finals it was already really crisp against the fourth seeded Karol Drzewiecki (Poland) and Alex Lawson (USA) with 6:7 (10), 7:6 (4), 10:4 . Erler/Miedler have already won two titles in Bengaluru (India) and Ostrava (Czech Republic) this season. The Lower Austrian will follow his Tyrolean partner in the top 100 of the ATP double world rankings next Monday. While Miedler will take 99th place in the ranking, the 24-year-old from Innsbruck has risen to 83rd place.
