Jan-Lennard Struff was eliminated in the first round of the ATP Masters.1000 tournament in Miami. The 31-year-old Warsteiner trailed Spain's Pedro Martinez 3-6, 0-2 before retiring with a foot injury. Struff had already taken a medical break in the first set break. Struff's only win in 2022 dates from January 4th.

Things didn't go any better for Daniel Altmaier (Kempen). The 23-year-old also had to give up in the first round after a 4:6, 4:6 against the US qualifier Jeffrey John Wolf.
