ATP Monte Carlo: Tsitsipas convinces against Garin
Stefanos Tsitsipas has reached the quarter-finals at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Monte Carlo. The Greek defeated Cristian Garin in straight sets and will face Alejandro Davidovich Fokina on Friday.

Tsitsipas and the Chilean clay court specialist opened Court Rainier III in the Monte Carlo Country Club on Thursday - and fought a clay court duel at its finest. Tsitsipas acted a little more forcefully than his opponent and, as usual, also followed his balls. And won 6: 3 and 6: 4. Especially towards the end of the match, Stefanos Tsitsipas once again showed his outstanding class: Garin managed the re-break to 4: 4, Tsitsipas immediately took his opponent's serve again and served safely.
In the quarter-finals, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is a man who has been on the rise since last year. The Spaniard defeated returnees Lucas Pouille 6: 2 and 7: 6 (2).
