Dominic Thiem is trying to get back on the road to success at the Challenger in Zadar.

Dominic Thiem, the top seed at the tournament, will face Serbian Filip Krajinovic in the first round of the Challenger in Zadar, Croatia. The former 26th in the ATP rankings is currently in 418th place in the world rankings after a long injury break and, like Thiem himself, is trying to get back into shape.

Both players have met once on the ATP Tour. Krajinovic clearly won the duel at the Masters in Cincinnati in 2020 6:2, 6:1. Another duel took place on the Challenger Tour in Casablanca in 2013. Dominic Thiem won this match with the same result and then took the title. So maybe a good omen.

Misolic, Neumayer and Novak also there

Filip Misolic, Lukas Neumayer and Dennis Novak are also competing in the main field of the Challenger, Misolic is in fourth place and will face the Croatian wildcard Matej Dodig. Dennis Novak has been drawn with Timofey Skatov, an opponent from Kazakhstan, in the first round. Lukas Neumayer, who could face compatriot Thiem in the second round, still has to wait for his opponent. The 21-year-old will play against a qualifier at the start.
