Claudia Kohde-Kilsch will move into the Big Brother house on August 7th. This was reported by the industry portal wunschliste.de .

The former tennis player is one of 16 participants in the celebrity version of Big Brother, although the term "celebrity" is now to be interpreted very broadly. Among them are Kelly Family member Kathy Kelly, ex-GZSZ actress Jasmin Tawil and various "celebrities" from other reality formats. Simone Mecky-Ballack, the ex-wife of footballer Michael Ballack, should also take part.

It is not the first time that someone from the tennis business has gone to their big brother: in 2015 the Austrian scandal player Daniel Köllerer was there.

Claudia Kohde-Kilsch: In the shadow of Steffi Graf

Kohde-Kilsch is one of the most successful German tennis players of all time, but was in the shadow of Steffi Graf during her heyday. Kohde-Kilsch reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open in 1985, 1987, 1988 and the semi-finals of the French Open in 1985. In doubles, she won the 1985 US Open and 1987 in Wimbledon, each alongside Helena Sukova. With Steffi Graf she won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in 1988. She made 4th place in the singles and 2nd place in the double world rankings.

Most recently she was a politician for "Die Linke" in the city council of Saarbrücken, meanwhile she belongs to the SPD faction.
