Donna Vekic: "No Bubble in Palermo"
Donna Vekic commented on the arrangements for the WTA tournament in Palermo - she sees no "real" bubble here.

Vekic had shown itself in sightseeing in the past few days, including on its social media channels. "I have a feeling that New York is going to be a real bubble. Although they are talking about a bubble here, it is not a bubble at all."
She didn't want to pretend to be locked up in a hotel room all day if it wasn't, Vekic said ahead of the tournament . "I was in town for dinner. Of course we're careful and not close to people. But I'm not locked in the room, 90 percent of the players are not."
She hoped that there would be penalties in New York, "and if everyone respects that and makes sense, I'm fully in favor of it. Only if the regulations contradict it doesn't make sense."
"It will be important to turn on common sense," said Vekic. They don't think New York players would go to nightclubs and party. But: "If you want to go out for a walk, that should be okay."
Vekic is hoping for answers
The Croatian is not afraid of being infected with the corona virus, "I'm more worried about the different scenarios. What happens if someone is tested positive in New York? The USTA has not yet been able to answer many questions is my biggest concern. "
The WTA tournament in Palermo starts this Monday as the first official tournament since the corona lockdown. And already had to cope with some cancellations, for example that of Simona Halep .
