Dominic Thiem is number 3 in the world rankings for the first time today, but two more Austrians are higher than ever!

Dennis Novak hit the top 100 for the first time on January 13, 2020, and since today he's even ranked 85th. Reason for this: Novak had played through the qualification at the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai and then won his opening match against Prajnesh Gunneswaran. The reward: 11 places went up, the 26-year-old was thus ranked 85th in the ATP ranking.

And Jurij Rodionov keeps climbing. The 20-year-old had last played with victories in the Challenger tournaments in Dallas and Morelos from a ranking outside the top 350 among the top 200. Last week, a semi- final was added to the Challenger in Columbus . Four places went up for Rodionov, who is now ranked 168th in the world rankings.

To the world rankings for men

Among the women, Barbara Haas (135th place), Julia Grabher (220) and Melanie Klaffner (500) are the top three Austrians. Haas had celebrated her career high from 133th place last week.
