What do Stefanos Tsitsipas and David Hasselhoff have in common? On the one hand, it is certainly a moisturizing shampoo for natural curls. On the other hand, a certain role model function, also in terms of Corona. /

Last year, Tsitsipas acted as the face of the Greek "Stay home" campaign, Hasselhoff went one step further this year and supported the Federal Ministry of Health with the "Sleeves up" campaign and called for vaccinations.

It remains to be seen whether Stefanos Tsitsipas followed Hasselhoff's appeal or otherwise reached his decision. But it seems certain that the world number three now wants to be vaccinated. This is reported by the Greek news site eKathimerini . It will certainly happen this year, "Tsitsipas told Antenna TV.

Tsitsipas: "Not the richest opinion when it comes to medical topics"

When asked whether he would be vaccinated in order to lead a normal life again in everyday life, Tsitsipas said: "Yes, that is the reason." He also never took a position for or against a vaccination. "I'm not a doctor, I'm a tennis player," said Tsitsipas. "So I don't have the most substantial opinion when it comes to medical topics."

Tsitsipas said in August that he did not trust the side effects and thought it would be better if young people would pass the virus on to build up immunity. "His statements had caused a stir in Greece." He does not have the knowledge and knows neither the studies nor the research that would allow him to form an opinion, " said government spokesman Giannis Economou .

During the US Open it became known that only around half of tennis professionals had been vaccinated so far - in contrast to many other professional athletes. The different treatment of spectators and employees of the tournament, who were only allowed to enter the facility with a vaccination, and the players, had caused controversy.
