"Inexplicable, I don't know where I got the virus," said Massu in an interview with krone.at . "I had myself tested every two or three days for weeks, then I was positive before departure." He has mild symptoms and his back hurts a bit, explained Massu.

The Chilean, currently based in Miami, is apparently still speculating with a subsequent trip to Melbourne, "I hope I'll be there in time for the Grand Slam," he is quoted as saying. /

Is there an exception (not yet officially announced) for later arrivals? Even after Andy Murray's positive corona test, a rejection has not yet been announced; Murray hoped to travel to Melbourne at a later date , it said.

Thiem: No boredom in Adelaide

Massus protégé Thiem is being trained by Papa Wolfgang, yesterday Team Thiem landed in Adelaide . Even if Thiem is only allowed to break out of the hotel bubble for training for five hours a day, there is apparently no risk of him getting bored. "I have to do some interviews for international newspapers via video calls, so I can get used to the time change in peace," said the world number three who achieved his best result at the Australian Open last year by reaching the final.
