It was 1-1 between Italy and Brazil after the two opening singles, but Matteo Berrettini with a 6: 4 and 7: 6 (7) against Thiago Monteiro and Lucia Bronzetti with a smooth 6: 0 and 6: 2 against Laura Pigossi did already before the final mixed doubles all clear. Luisa Stefani and Rafael Matos then won this double against Berrettini and partner Camilla Rosatello with 6: 4, 6: 7 (4) and 10: 4.

The Czech Republic had bad luck against the USA. Petra Kvitova won the top single against Jessica Pegula 7:6 (6) and 6:4. After that, Tomas Machac had to be rolled off the court injured against Frances Tiafoe when the score was 3: 6 and 4: 2. In mixed, Taylor Fritz and Pegula narrowly defeated Marie Bouzkova and Jii Ledecka with 2:6, 6:3 and 10:7. The USA, who play in a group with Germany, won 4-1 on aggregate.

In the end, it was Maria Sakkari's turn to save Greece's game against Bulgaria. Sakkari not only beat Viktoriya Tomova safely 6:3 and 6:2, but also won the doubles with Stefanos Tsitsipas against Adrian Andrev and Georgana Topalova 6:4 and 6:4. Dimitar Kuzmanov got the honor point for the Bulgarians with a 6:1 and 6:1 against Mikhail Pervolarakis.
