Is there really a new winner for the men? Or will the old warhorses around Federer , Nadal and Djokovic prevail again? And who dominates the ladies please?
Jörg Allmeroth:
Australian Open : Stefanos Tsitsipas and Simona Halep
French Open : Dominic Thiem and Belinda Bencic
Wimbledon : Novak Djokovic and Ashleigh Barty
US Open : Rafael Nadal and Elina Svitolina
Jens Huiber:
Australian Open
Serena Williams beats Simona Halep in the final; finally the 24th title for Serena, who then takes a break to Indian Wells.
Dominic Thiem beats Novak Djokovic in the final; This time Thiem arrives fit, benefits from a favorable draw and continues his series of narrow victories in important matches against Nole.
Roland Garros
Naomi Osaka beats Ashleigh Barty in the final; With Wim Fissette, Osaka has finally developed an irresistible affection for red ash.
Rafael Nadal beats Dominic Thiem in the final; nothing helps.
Wimbledon
Ashleigh Barty beats Petra Kvitova in the final; the best lawn players besides Serena make this up in a three-sentence epic.
Novak Djokovic beats Alexander Zverev in the final; the experience prevails once again.
US Open
Bianca Andreescu beats Aryna Sabalenka in the final; in North America there is no way around the Canadian.
Novak Djokovic beats Rafael Nadal in the final; the last great classic of the year.
Robert M. Frank:
Australian Open : Nadal (continues his successful run) / Barty (uses the home game to win)
French Open : Tsitsipas (makes his first Grand Slam victory on his most successful surface on the ATP tour) / Pliskova (can play out his strength on sand again after two screwed-up appearances in Paris at the French Open)
Wimbledon : Berrettini (will be the surprise winner in Wimbledon) / Svitolina (after the semi-finals in 2019, the victory will succeed)
US Open : Shapovalov (makes his breakthrough in the top 10 with a win) / Barty (on hard court there is no way around Barty)
Olympics : Federer (not in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, the “Maestro” snatches the title with his routine) / Williams (wins her second Olympic gold medal in London after 2012)
Florian Goosmann:
Australian Open : Dominic Thiem (the first major title not on sand) / Karolina Pliskova (the #AceQueen stays cool in the heat)
French Open : Rafael Nadal (probably for the last time ... maybe ... oh what ... of course not) / Simona Halep (is the best on sand)
Wimbledon : Roger Federer (that couldn't have been the end in 2019! And in general the Maestro 2020 will surprise everyone once again) / Ashleigh Barty (against Serena in the final)
US Open : Novak Djokovic (turns up again after a difficult start to the year) / Serena Williams (this time everything fits together for the 24)
Olympic Games : Roger Federer (otherwise stop 2040) / Madison Keys (the good Maddie does the Lindsay)
Nikolaus Fink:
Australian Open : Novak Djokovic and Ashleigh Barty
French Open : Rafael Nadal and Simona Halep
Wimbledon : Novak Djokovic and Ashleigh Barty
US Open : Novak Djokovic and Bianca Andreescu
For men, everything will remain the same, especially at Grand Slam level. In the women's field, Barty will underpin her supremacy and win two of the four major tournaments.
