Alcaraz is the new number 11 in the world in the current ATP ranking - the 18-year-old has never been so high. And, let's lean out the window very far: Getting into the top 10 should only be a matter of time. Especially since it's only 29 points behind number 10, Cameron Norrie . Incidentally, this week he is among the ten best tennis players in the world for the first time.
There is nothing new at the top this time: Novak Djokovic leads in front of Daniil Medvedev - who will be injured in the coming weeks . However, in contrast to Djoker, he only has to defend a few points on sand and therefore has a good chance of getting back to the top in his free time. (The two currently only separate a measly ten points.)
Alexander Zverev number 3 again
Alexander Zverev has made up a place: he has moved ahead of Rafael Nadal again and is third. And how long Nadal will be injured is not yet clear. Miami finalist Casper Ruud hits a new career high with 7th place.
The Americans Tommy Paul and Jason Brooksby are also on the up: Paul is now number 34, Brooksby 36.
However, the climber of the week is someone else: Francisco Cerundolo , who sensationally made it into the semi-finals in Miami: He made up 52 places and is the new number 51 in the world!
Nick Kyrgios is celebrating a return to the top 100, he is now number 94 again.
Dominic Thiem remains number 50, Jurij Rodionov makes up 39 places!
From a German perspective, despite the crisis in form, Jan-Lennard Struff remains the second best DTB player as number 59, ahead of Dominik Koepfer (No. 62), Daniel Altmaier (No. 67 - new career high!) and Oscar Otte (No. 72 - also). new career high again).
In Austria, Dominic Thiem remains in 50th place ahead of Dennis Novak in 137th place.
Jurij Rodionov made a big leap: Thanks to his Challenger victory in Biel last week and the quarter-finals in Lugano, he climbed 39 places and is number 162. Reason: There were no new ones last week due to the Miami Open World rankings - hence the big leap for him.
