Even more should be possible when serving: Jannik Sinner

Jannik Sinner, who is only 20 years old, is doing well. Of course there are ups and downs, but the match against Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals of Monte Carlo made us want more despite the Italian's defeat. In an interview with an Italian newspaper, Sinner now commented on possible starting points in training. "I need to build muscle," he said.

More muscles could help Sinner get even more out of his height of 188 cm on serve. The Italian sees a need to catch up – Patrick Mouratoglou, by the way, too. However, Sinner believes that he is on the right track here: "I hit 15 aces against Pablo Carreno Busta (in Miami, editor's note), that has never happened to me before. But there are other things, like the backhand slice or drop shots. I have to train them."

"I like to play in Rome"

Sinner is already looking forward to the upcoming tournament in Rome. A tournament in his home country where he will be seeded for the first time. "Playing in Rome is my favorite thing to do. Of course you always feel a little more pressure at home, but on the other hand it's a great feeling when the audience calls your name. That can give you a real boost.” But before he starts in Rome, Sinner has to go to the tournament in Madrid – as long as the blisters on his feet don't put a spanner in the works.
